Marvis privacy policy
Marvis is an app from Pixelproof Kids, operated by Sandhu Technologies LLC (“we”). It helps a parent keep track of school, activity and appointment messages for their children. This policy explains what Marvis collects, why, where it goes and how to delete it.
Who Marvis is for
Marvis is for parents and caregivers aged 18 and over. It is not directed at children and children should not use it. Parents may enter limited information about their children (see below).
What Marvis collects
- Your account: your email address, or the identifier Apple provides if you use Sign in with Apple, and your first name if you enter it.
- About your children: only a first name or nickname, a grade or age, a colour and an illustrated avatar you pick. Marvis never asks for children’s photos, birthdays, surnames, schools’ addresses or locations.
- Messages you send Marvis: email you forward to your family’s Marvis address, WhatsApp chats you export to Marvis, texts and screenshots you share, photos you take in the app, and text you paste or say. Marvis does not read your inbox, your other chats or your messages unless you send them.
- Your calendar: if you allow it, Marvis reads your calendar on your phone to spot clashes, find free time and answer your questions, and adds events you ask it to. When you ask Marvis a question, the titles, dates and times of your events for the next 30 days are sent with the question so it can answer. They are used only for that answer and are not stored. Event notes, locations and attendees are never sent.
- Questions you ask, replies Marvis drafts, and spoken answers: your question, the last few turns of the conversation, and the items and messages Marvis is already tracking are sent to answer it. Marvis’s spoken answers and email drafts are made the same way. None of this is stored on our servers after the answer is returned.
- Voice: if you talk to Marvis, your phone’s built-in speech recognition turns speech into text. Apple or Google may process that audio under their own terms. Marvis receives only the text.
How messages are read
To find dates, tasks, costs and which child a message is about, the message text (and any photo or PDF attached) is sent to Google’s Gemini API, which returns a structured summary. Questions, drafts and spoken answers also use the Gemini API. We use Google’s paid API service. Under Google’s terms for paid API services, Google does not use this data to improve its products. We do not use your messages to train any model.
Where data is stored, and for how long
- On your phone: your children’s profiles, the items, reminders and history Marvis builds. Deleting the app removes them.
- On our servers (Supabase, United States): your account, your family’s Marvis address, the first names you entered (so the reader can tell children apart), and forwarded mail and attachments only until your phone collects them, after which the app deletes them. Anything not collected is deleted automatically after 30 days.
- We keep server logs for up to 30 days for security and troubleshooting.
What we never do
We do not sell personal information, show ads, use advertising identifiers or track you across other apps and websites. Marvis never sends, replies, pays or deletes anything in your accounts without your tap.
Sharing
We share data only with the service providers that run Marvis (Supabase for storage and sign-in, Google for reading messages, Resend for receiving forwarded email, Vercel for hosting), under their terms, and when the law requires it. When you share an item with someone, they see what you chose to share.
Your choices and rights
You can delete everything at any time in the app (Family → Privacy & security → Delete everything) or by emailing us. Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct or delete your data; email us to use them.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Server data is protected by access rules so only members of your family can read it. You can lock the app with Face ID, fingerprint or a PIN.
